Salivary gland cyst

There is cystic, usually thick fluid, often containing crystalloids, with signs of osmotic damage on the epithelial elements. The sample may be very poorly cellular. There is a dirty necrotic background. Large, possibly hexagonic crystals may be seen. In case of inflammation, atypical metaplastic squamous cell may be present.
