Sialoadenosis

The acinic cells are significantly larger, with small and peripheral nuclei and showing plenty of zymogen granules.  The size of the acinic cells is 58 – 60 micron as compared to the normal size of 40 – 45 micron. The gland is swollen. There is always some other disease to be searched for in the background: diabetes, malnutrition, tuberculosis, etc.
